PPLATS is an online-publication about places created by curator Nayab Ikram (AX) and graphic designer Fredrik Enges (AX). The publication collects material from individuals and collectives from artistic, academic and historical perspectives to create an alternative encyclopedia of places. The first issue covers the island as a place and it is launched online 2 August 2018 at 6 pm.

The launch of PPLATS takes place in connection to the exhibition opening of “PPLATS #1” at Photographic Centre Peri. The exhibition consists of photographs, installations, illustrations, text, video- and audio works, all examinating, investigating and pondering around island as a place. The exhibition is curated by Nayab Ikram.

Invited participating artists are Camille Auer (FI), Elena Aya Bundurakis (GR/JP), Alex Backstrom (SE), Fredrik Enges (AX), Emma Heiðarsdóttir (IS) and Karl Henrik Edlund (FI).
